Hey! My name is Kayla, nice to meet you :) I started Thread Revival out of a passion for sewing that started when I inherited my grandma's sewing machine. I quickly grew to love the freedom of designing your own clothes, bags, and accessories! I also am quite fond of digital design, so naturally, I found a way to meld the two.   Thread Revival is currently run completely by me. 90% of the materials I use are thrifted/recycled from clothes and fabrics that were tossed or no longer used. Not only is it cost effective, it's environmentally friendly! All pieces are custom, and no two pieces will ever be the exact same. Furthermore, 50% of the proceeds from purchases go to funding the Bum Bag Brigade, a homeless outreach program run by my boyfriend and I! More info on the BBB below :)

The Bum Bag Brigade is a Homeless Outreach program started by my boyfriend, Tarzan, and I. We are currently based in the greater Indianapolis area. Our mission is to spread divine love and peace to those in need, as well as to create and strengthen community in our area. Being former travelers, we were inspired to positively impact our local homeless community. We hand out "Bum Bags" (thoughtfully packed care packages) at least once a month, with supplies bought from our own earnings and donations sent to us. 50% of proceeds from Thread Revival sales go to funding the monthly outreach. There are multiple ways you can help! The most impactful ways to get involved are (1) helping on foot to pass out the bags downtown and (2) donating to ensure adequate stock of supplies. Donations can be monetary or any items from the supply list on the BBB contact/info page. Another hands-on approach is helping us pack the bags, build lunches, and prepare for the Brigade the day before! Furthermore, if none of these are feasible and you'd still like to support the mission, sharing our posts and telling others are great ways to do so! The more people aware of our mission, the more feet on the ground, and the more people we can help.
